701 Ralph II married Marie Smith. They lived in Arizona, Arkansas, and eventually settled in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Before they got married, Grandpa was showing off for my grandma in his car, and he lost control on a curve. He spent a year and a half in the hospital, and couldn't walk, but they couldn't find out why not. They finally got an x-ray pointed up from his butt, and found the fracture in his hip, and it was too damaged to repair, so they had to remove four inches of his leg. After he got out of the hospital, they got married. He had to walk on his toe, and even then had a pronounced limp. He learned to make his own shoes, and his right shoe had a normal sized heel, but was built up on the inside with a four-inch hill. When a pair would wear out, he made a new pair, and his old pair became his work shoes. Grandma was pregnant when they married, and they named him Ralph III, but always called him Tex. Tex died as a baby from pneumonia. They had four more kids, Grace, Shirley (my mother), another son named Ralph III, and Dagne.

707 Robert Friberg was working as a surgery and doctor in Arlington outside Boston. At Pleasant Street they had a very nice property with one mainbuilding and another two houses. The view over Boston was magnificant and in front of their house they had a lake. One of their houses was rented out to an eye-doctor whose name was Dohlman. Fribergs property was an important meetingplace for many Swedish people, where Midsummer celebrations and cray-fishparties were held. After they retired they moved 1978 to Cape Cod Centerville and later to a house on Jubilation Street Osterville. Robert was 1999 in a good condition and still driving car at the age of 87.

708 Robert Mahoney remembers his father:

This is a sad day andyet a very happy day for Mahoney Family. It is a happy day because our father Tom is at long last reunited with his beloved Freda, his oldest son Thomas Jr., his youngest son XIE, his grandson Jackie Cohen and his son in law Paul Cusick.

Tom Mahoney was in his 99th year-can you imagine what he had experienced over the years since 1893. When he was born the population in the United States was about 65 million. Today the population is about 250 million. He and his beloved Freda helped that expansion. They had seven children, 19 grandchildren, 33 great greatchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

He met our mother not far from this church in 1910. My father told me he immediately fell in love with the most beautiful girl in Brokline and he knew at that time that this Swedish beauty was going to be his wife. From that time on not a day passed that he did not see Freda and this covered a span of about 64 years until her death in 1974. A true love story.

During his lifetime he witnessed the transformation of this country from a farming society to the greatest industrial country in the world.

From horse & buggy to automobiles, the expansion of railroads, the airplane, space ships. Telegraph to telephone, radio, moving pictures and television, video cameras and computers. He even saw the Red Sox win the World Series. He witnessed great advances in science and medicine-like the elimination of the polio virus- a dreaded virus that afflicted millions including my brother Carlton.

When he was born in 1893, Leo XIII was pope and there were 10 Popes during his lifetime. Grover Cleveland was President of the United States and my father lived under 18 Presidents. He lived during 6 wars that the U.S was involved in.

He was a great believer in education even though he stopped his formal education after he graduated from grammar school. He urged his children and grandchildren to get as much formal education as possible because as he stated- ''one thing that never can be taken away from you is your edcation''.

He believed in the ''Ecumential'' spirit long before it became fashionable. He always taught us that you never judge a person by race, religion, nationality or gender-that each person is an individual and in life you will find good, bad and indifferent individuals.

People have asked me how I would describe my father. I remember back in 1936 during the great depression, when many families were on welfare, I overheard a neighbor say ''that Tom Mahoney is a good provider''. I was only 10 at the time but I remeber that statement as if it was made yesterday. My father was a gentle person, a person who always provided for the spiritual needs as well as the material needs of life for his family.

He was a good provider and that is the best way to describe him.

We pray that his soul rests in peace.

Men sorg
Birgitta.

Pouffvel Mogenssen övertagit rusthållet under Skånska

742 She spent all of her life on the island until forced to move because of the condition of the house. She was supposed to have married several times, but each time the groom stood her up. She had polio or some other crippling disease and has been stopped over a great share of her life. After the death of Heikki with whom she shared a home all of his life her son Olavi fixed her home so it would be easy to take care of. He turned all the floor boards over, sanded them and had them refinished with a light varnish. a small bathroom was installed in the corner of the old kitchen and everything just lightened up including the stairs to the attic. Beata Eufemia seems to have a talent for growing plants. An indoor vine covered a large share of one wall in her home which he had a Finnish-type bed which could be used as a settee as well as baking oven/fireplace in the main room. Konstenius, Beata Eufemio (I1351)
